How to make a fabulous New Year's party

Posted by Mark Cohen on

When planning your New Year's party, you want it to be memorable! Whether it's formal or not, there are lots of ways to spice up the celebration. A New Year's party doesn't require you to choose a theme -- it's the New Year and that's all that counts. Besides selecting your perfect hors d’oeuvres and food, decorating and ambiance is easy with all sorts of goodies from BongoFlashers.

  1. Put great Centerpieces on the tables

You can really set the mood with a great centerpiece for the formal dining table or, if you are not having a sit-down dinner, a smaller centerpiece on the snack table so that your guests can just roam and snack. If you have a color in mind, choose one that goes with your color scheme, or if not, a multi-color changing centerpiece is just the ticket.

  2. Place Candles around the room

Candles are always a sure bet when you are decorating too. Group some pillar candles on the dining table, or place votives around the room. Again, if you are going with a color scheme, go with your color choice.

  3. Choose your Barware for toasting

Of course, what's a New Year's party without celebratory drinks! If your get together is more formal, choose glowing champagne or wine glasses for the table. But as the magic hour approaches, you might want to pull out all the stops and use some flashing blinking glasses that would be perfect for toasting in the New Year! Since a lot of folks go outside for the big countdown, these cups and glasses can easily be taken outside with no risk to your precious heirloom crystal.

  4. Grab fun Hats for celebrating

New Year's is also the perfect time for crazy light up hats. Get an assortment of flashing and blinking Happy New Year hats in a variety of colors and styles, put them in a pile and let the celebrating begin!

So celebrate the New Year in style, grab a drink, put on a hat and party, party, party.
